Evidence Based Practice

Evidence-based clinical practice is the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of the current best evidence when making decisions about patient care (Gray 1997).

As health care professionals you should integrate your clinical expertise with the best available published clinical evidence from systematic research.

    • Research Design Service South West The RDS provides help for people preparing research proposals for submission to peer-reviewed funding competitions for applied health or social care research. The RDS will advise NHS researchers, and others working in partnership with the NHS, who are developing an application to a suitable funding body.
