PinPoint Devon - a directory of services that lists thousands of services and community groups across Devon.
Hiblio - health TV service from Torbay Hospital which aims to provide trusted information about health, wellbeing and lifestyle to the residents of Devon and beyond.
eConsult - a platform that allows patients to consult with their NHS GP by completing an online form. Click here to see an informational video.
NHS Choices - a directory of reliable health information and advice on wellbeing.
Health and Care Videos - a service offering videos which aim to provide health professionals, patients, their families and carers with easily understandable information.

NHS Apps Library - provides links to trusted digital tools for patients and the public to manage and improve their health. (OpenAthens not required)
NHSquicker - provides live waiting and travel times for NHS services providing urgent care across Devon and Cornwall. (OpenAthens not required)

Discovery Search
Discovery search lets you easily find and access the library's resources (both books and articles are listed). It features a flexible search box which allows you to search for a specific title or perform a keyword topic search.

Full-text will not be available for all articles - if you wish to access an article where full text is not available please request a copy using our request form.
Databases
The NICE Healthcare Databases will enable you to complete detailed literature searches i.e. locate various articles on a topic. As an NHS employee/placement student you have access to 8 databases:
AMED - covers topics for allied health professions
BNI (British Nursing Index) - primarily of use for nurses but also includes allied health topics
CINAHL - international nursing and allied health
EMBASE - primarily European biomedicine - good for pharmacology and drug therapy
HBE- healthcare administration and other non-clinical aspects of healthcare institution management.
HMIC - health service management and organisation. Includes grey literature
MEDLINE - general medical database covering most health topics
PsycINFO - psychology and psychiatry
PubMed - life sciences and biomedical literature
